    WOW!!!

    Been another busy week for us!!Martha got her own apartment so we have been busy getting her situated and figuring out a schedule that we can both work with....It was a hard week and both of us have slipped up,drinking soda was the biggest No No!!We also have'nt worked out like we should be,but somehow we both were Surprised and lost weight this week!!Myself loosing 6 lbs and Martha loosing 4 lbs...We could have done better and were disappointed in ourselves,but we have gotten past it and our back on track!!No one ever said this was going to be easy,and it's NOT!!!But with encouragement of Family and Friends and knowing how we will look and feel when reach our final goal it has all been worth it!!We have good and bad days and lately the bad out weigh the good,but putting one foot in front of the other and pushing ourselves beyond what we ever have gives us the motivation we need to keep goingWink The weather is getting nicer fianly so we will be able to get out there and start walking as well and for that is a big step and HUGE obstacle,I have'nt been out for a "real" walk in probably 2 years so this is going to be one step at a time and with alot of aches and pains for me,but with Martha by side I can and will do this!!!
    We are currently working on a video blog and will update and post sometime later this week,for now I have to get the dishes done and laundry folded so I can be ready for our Favorite show tonight *wink*

    Sorry been so busy!!

    Been a Busy week,but wanted to leave a quick update for everyone.....We weighed in on Saturday and I(Mel) Lost 8 lbs this week!!!!Martha lost 6!!!We are so Happy and proud of ourselves and know now that we can do thisOpen-mouthed I will update again very soon!!

    Ho Hum Drum...

    Well,it's been several days since I have been on here,thought I might leave a little update before bed....The last couple days have been wonderful when it comes to eating healthy,we went to Walmart Shopping and now our Fridge and cupboards are completely stocked with our healthy foods....WOW,we never realized how good the healthy food taste and the variety you can buy and cook and have it be so good for you!!Open-mouthed As for working out,it has'nt been so great this week,we have only been to the gym twice,not because we have'nt fealt like it cause believe me we are so wanting to get to the gym!!The Weather here is really crappy and it has done nothing but snow,so we are pretty much snowed in!!!So we are feelin kinda low cause we can't get to workout,but we are doin our own thing at home and it may not be such an intence work out as the gym but we are doing something and eating the right portions and feeling fantabulous!Smile I am kinda loopy right now from being tired so I will elaberate more tomarrow if I get a chance,otherwise,our weigh in is on Saturday so will update then...........Happy LoosingRed heart

    Day 2 and feelin fine!!!

    Today was a very productive day at the gym.......I (Mellissa) did 1/2 mile on the treadmill,1 mile on the bike and then swam for 2 hours....
    Martha did treadmill for 1 mile then she did 4 miles on the bike and swam for 2 hours......We both are feeling the muscle aches and pains,but they are a good pain and were feeling wonderful..:)
    Each day our goal increases and we always seem to reach that goal and it feels FANTABULOUS!!!!!!!!Open-mouthed
    I myself (Mel) am really excited for my first weight loss weigh in,I have a good feeling I shed atleast a few lbs,will just have to wait till next Sat to see what the scale says....
    I am off to bed,morning comes awful quick....Happy LoosingTongue out

    Day One.....

    Today was the first of many more days at the gym.....I was roaring and ready to go today,it was absolutely a feeling of greatness when I was done...:)My Goal for today was to workout for 1 mile(wich if I were to go for a walk would almost kill me!!)I made it just over 2 miles!!!!!I started out on the treadmill for 1/2 a mile then went to the bike for another 1/2 mile I then finished with just over a mile on the sit down bike (whatever theyre called?)Some of you do 5 times as much,but for me it was a huge step,a big accomplishment!!I could'nt be prouder of myself...:)My Goal for tomarrow is 2 miles..I am starting easy so I don't overdo it....But I feel really good about myself and know I could have done more today,but did'nt wanna push it,so each day my goal will increase and variety will be part of my workout each time.Oh yeah,we are also signing up for water aerobics,it's a class for ladies like us,so I am really excited cause swimming has always been easy for me when it comes to loosing weight.

    The Hubby and My Son went with us and the highlight of the time at the gym was when Warren stood by me on my last 5 minutes on the bike and says to me,"Mom I am so proud of you,you are doing so good"Later on after I was in the shower the thought of what he said to me brought me to tears...So not only am I doing this for me but I Love knowing how proud everyone who loves me is...:)

    Our First Day Together....

    These are pictures of us the gym today....along with our "Get up and GO!"Workout Partner Tasha....Mellissa's Goal for today was to work out all together 1 mile and I am so proud of myself and made 2 1/2 miles,my first day,I am amazed!!:)Martha's Goal for today was 2 miles and she did 3 miles,wooo hooo!!We were going to weigh ourselves today ,but the scale at the fitness center was'nt equipt for our weight....So we will weigh in next week,if we can't find a scale here soon....

    A New Beginning!

    We are both beginners at making a change in our lives and it's been 3 days since we started eating healthier and working out..It's not a big progress,but it is a start and we all have to start some where!This is the start to a new life for both of us and as hard as it's going to be we are ready emotionaly to take what comes at us and work through it together!!
    I could go for hours and days,but just wanted to speak a little about the change we have taken on and the goals we have set for ourselves...
